Salisbury, N.C. —- Catawba College junior Brandon Crabtree and sophomore Joe Burleyson were named D2Baseball All-Americans, the organizations announced Monday morning.
Crabtree, a native of Pittsboro, N.C., added First Team All-America honors for the second time, joining his First Team nod from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). The 2026 SAC Player of the Year picked up All-America recognition from every organization that makes the distinction. He finished the season batting .413 with 102 hits, including 18 homers and 24 doubles with 73 RBI.
Burleyson, a native of Salisbury, ranked second nationally with 12 saves on the year, along with three wins with a 2.62 ERA and 39 strikeouts across 44.2 innings pitched in 26 appearances. He helped Catawba earn an elimination-game win over Point Loma at the Division II Baseball Championships with five innings and 95 pitches thrown in a must-win.
Both student-athletes are consensus All-Americans for the first season of their career.
