ROCK HILL, S.C. — The ninth-ranked Catawba College men's golf team pocketed three All-South Atlantic Conference honorees per Friday release as Paul Esnault was selected to the First Team, while Ilia Antoniadis and Allan Lockwood earned Second Team honors.
Heading into the SAC Championship, Esnault leads the team with a 72.24 stroke average that is on track to place third in program history. The Caen, France, native has recorded 18 par-or-better rounds with a program-record 13 below-par rounds. Esnault won the Griffin Invitational with a 6-under 210 to open the year, going on to total four podiums, six top-10s, and eight top-15s. The junior was most valuable in clutch situations as he holds a third-round stroke average of 71.11.
Antoniadis, coming off one of the best rookie campaigns by a Catawba Indian, reached new heights in 2025-26 with a 72.28 stroke average and a team-best No. 36 national ranking. The German sophomore fired a program-record 136, including a career-low 65, to emerge victorious at the Richard Rendleman Invitational in the fall, then proceeded to finish second at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate hosted by LMU in the spring. Antoniadis shot under par in six of his 10 tournaments, adding four podiums and seven top-10 finishes during the regular season.
After sitting out the fall semester, Lockwood appeared to not miss a beat in the spring with a 73.40 stroke average across 15 regular-season rounds. The redshirt senior out of Elizabethtown, Ky., recorded six par-or-better rounds including four under par, highlighted by his 68-67 end to the Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate which gave him a 7-under 209 to finish in third place.
The Catawba Indians battle for a conference title at the SAC Championship taking place Apr. 19-21 in Greenville, S.C., at The Preserve at Verdae. The first two days will be stroke play (36 holes on Sunday, 18 holes on Monday) with the top four teams advancing to medal match play on Tuesday.
