NORMAN, Okla. — The Catawba College men's golf program saw Paul Esnault and Ilia Antoniadis collect PING NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region honors per Tuesday's release by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Esnault, ranked 15th in the region, was a First Team All-South Atlantic Conference selection with a team-low 72.58 stroke average. The junior from Caen, France stacked 14 under-par rounds to lead the squad, highlighted by a 70-70-70 performance to win the season-opening Griffin Invitational. Before heading to the conference meet, Esnault posted a runner-up finish in the team's third championship of the season at the Division I-heavy Irish Creek Intercollegiate. In the SAC medal match play semifinal draw against Lincoln Memorial, he tied with Harry Dickins, the league's Freshman of the Year, to give Catawba its lone half point.

Antoniadis followed up an exciting freshman campaign with an even better year as he recorded a 72.61 stroke average. The native of Munich, Germany finished with a team-high regional ranking of No. 12 while holding a No. 34 national ranking per Clippd. Antoniadis fired 13 under-par rounds and claimed the Richard Rendleman Invitational crown using a scorecard that included a 6-under round to tie the program record as well as a total score of 136 to set a new 36-hole tournament mark. He garnered Second Team All-SAC laurels and finished sixth, the highest on the squad, at the conference tournament.

Esnault and Antoniadis share the institution's record for par-or-better rounds in a season (19) and were named the program's Co-MVPs. They are the third and fourth individuals in the NCAA era to boast All-Region honors – the first since 1998 – joining 2013 Hall of Fame inductee Nick Sabol and Chad Clayton.
