Ehmer is unanimous First Team AA after USC honors; Women’s Soccer earns four All-Region selections

Kansas City, Mo. — Catawba College junior Bree Ehmer earned her second First Team All-America honors of the week on Thursday afternoon when United Soccer Coaches announced its All-America teams, making her a unanimous First Team All-America selection.

Additionally, four Catawba Women's Soccer student-athletes were named to the USC's All-Southeast Region team.

Ehmer adds USC First Team All-America honors to D2CCA First Team All-America and Ron Lenz National Player of the Year honors. The unanimous All-America distinction makes her just the second Catawba Indian to earn multiple First Team All-America honors in the same season, joining Sydney Jimmo in 2023.

The South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Year racked up 20 goals, including seven game-winners, along with six assists for a total of 46 points, which ranked second in the country. Her 46 points in a season trailed just McKenzie Burman's 51-point season in 2005 for the most in program history.

Ehmer also earned USC First Team All-Region honors, the first time she's earned First Team All-Region honors with the United Coaches, but the third time in as many years she's earned All-Region recognition from the organization.

Maria Rayburn was also named a First Team All-Region selection, marking her a unanimous First Team All-Region selection after also receiving the same honors from D2CCA. The senior captain led a stout Catawba defensive unit that led the SAC in most defensive statistical categories while also scoring four goals and adding two assists on the offensive side.

Lucy Hack was a Second Team All-Region pick, making her a unanimous All-Region selection in her first season as a full-time starter with the Catawba Indian defense that helped lead the team to an undefeated regular season and two SAC titles.

Morgan Delair was the final All-Region selection for Catawba, picking up Second Team honors at midfield. The Concord native saw her production explode in her senior season, totaling 10 goals and eight assists, more than doubling her career totals over her first three seasons to become a key piece of Catawba's championship-caliber offense.

Catawba's four All-Region selections marks the fifth straight year the team has produced four or more All-Region selections.
