SALISBURY, N.C. — The Catawba College men's volleyball team was represented by four players on the Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (IVA) Preseason All-Tournament Teams released this week. In the IVA coaches' poll, Catawba was tabbed fifth out of seven programs.

John Cordray and Justin Arrowood were named to the league's first team, while Kristian Smith and Max Adkisson earned nods on the second team.

In his freshman campaign, Cordray worked into the starting lineup midway through the year and wound up with 88 kills, ranking third on the team, on a .209 hitting percentage. The Lewisville, N.C., native leveraged his 6-foot-7 frame to amass 25 blocks while stacking up 62 digs on defense.

Arrowood collected a redshirt in 2025 during his first year with the program. In four seasons at John Hersey High School in Chicagoland, Arrowood was a three-time all-conference and all-area honoree in addition to breaking the school record in service aces.

Smith was an everyday starter at setter for Catawba, recording 855 assists (10.1 per set, ranking 13th nationally) with 116 digs, 32 blocks and 15 aces. The Zebulon, N.C., product crossed the 50-helper mark twice and ended the year with a double-double against Rockhurst in the IVA Tournament.

Also making a sizable mark as a rookie, Adkisson operated as the Catawba Indians' libero for all but one match. The Illinoisan racked up 183 digs, averaging 2.1 per stanza, with double-figure totals in three of the season's last four matches.

The second edition of Catawba men's volleyball debuts on Jan. 10 at George Mason.
