Greenwood, Ind. —- Five Catawba College Baseball student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

Seniors Nathan Chrismon and Casey Gouge, junior Malachi Cloud and sophomores Calvin Douglas and Zachary Gaydos were named CSC Academic All-District selections.

The organization recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Each institution is honored with a maximum of five honorees who meet cumulative GPA and participation requirements.

Gouge advances to CSC Academic All-America consideration, which releases later this summer.
