SPARKS, Md. — Tanner Stout and Owen Conway of the Catawba College men's lacrosse team were honorable mentions on the USA Lacrosse Division II men's All-America list from the 2026 season per the organization's Tuesday release.
Stout had a breakout junior campaign with the second 50-goal season in program history, finishing two scores behind the all-time leader. The Elon, N.C., native tallied 62 points, 33 ground balls and four caused turnovers. In the midst of South Atlantic Conference play, Stout went on a five-game stretch of scoring five or more goals per contest highlighted by a 10-point outburst against Mars Hill. The junior attackman was named to the All-SAC Third Team following the record-breaking year.
Conway starred on the Catawba defense, racking up a team-high 25 caused turnovers with 35 ground ball pickups across 11 games. He led the charge in the 22-12 blowout of No. 4 Anderson on Mar. 28, forcing five turnovers with five ground balls. The sophomore from Bel Air, Md., was well on his way to logging one of the best defensive campaigns in program history before suffering a season-ending injury. Despite being sidelined for the final four games, his efforts were enough to secure a Second Team All-SAC placement.
Stout and Conway are the 14th and 15th men's All-America selections in Catawba history. This is the third season since the program's 1994 inception in which two Catawba Indians were named All-Americans.
