Salisbury, N.C. — The Catawba College women's basketball team plays in its second game in 48 hours at Goodman Arena on Friday when it hosts South Atlantic Conference co-leader Carson-Newman in a weather-affected matchup.

- The teams have a combined six NCAA Tournament wins in Goodman Arena between 2023 and 2024
- Catawba won the 2023 NCAA Southeast Regional on its home floor in 2023 before the Eagles made a run to the Southeast Regional title game in 2024 before falling to champion Georgia Southwestern
- The SAC has had a team in the Southeast Regional title game for three straight seasons after Coker won the regional in 2025
