NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Catawba College men's lacrosse team faces nationally-ranked Newberry on Saturday in South Atlantic Conference action at Setzler Field.
Cobra Clobbering
- After being upset by Mars Hill last Saturday, Catawba took its frustration out on Coker to the tune of a 19-3 knockout
- Tanner Stout led the charge with six goals, shattering his previous career high of three, and six ground balls
- Gabriel Barker collected his third career hat trick with a trio of strikes in the first appearance of his senior campaign
- Cael Petroff logged a stellar performance on faceoffs, going 16-for-21 (.762) with nine ground balls
- Jack Butler and Ben Butterfield each forced the Cobras to cough up the rock twice and tacked on three ground balls apiece
- Ben LoPiccolo earned his first career victory in the crease, making five saves while posting a clean sheet through three quarters
