TOCCOA, Ga. — The Catawba College women's golf team battled through a week of adverse weather to place 17th in the Ralph Hayes D2 Elite Invitational as proceedings wrapped up Tuesday.
Anderson won the top prize in team competition by 10 strokes, recording a total score of 583 (+7). Ariana Carvalho of Nova Southeastern was the individual medalist at a three-under-par 141. South Atlantic Conference golfers Olivia Roberts (Anderson), Danielle Becker (Lenoir-Rhyne) and Amely Bochaton (Wingate) finished in a three-way tie for second place.

- Carlson logged her best performance of the year with a 75-78 scorecard, highlighted by a one-under back nine in the opening round

- King laid down a first-round 78 that placed her in the top half of the field, but the junior descended in the pack in a tough Round 2
- Waddell bounced back from a mid-90s opener with a 14-stroke improvement, tallying 81 shots in the final 18 holes
