Josh Leatherman joined the Catawba College athletic department in August 2026 as the Director of Broadcasting.
Leatherman came to Salisbury from Nova Southeastern where he served as a Broadcast Coordinator for five years. He oversaw the setup and management of digital content for a department that held a top-10 ranking in the Learfield Directors' Cup for three straight years from 2023-25. Leatherman enhanced broadcasts with the implementation of new technology and provided leadership through training of student staff.
Before his time at NSU, Leatherman spent his first year working in college athletics at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Fla. during the 2019-20 season. His primary duties included being a play-by-play broadcaster, producer and setup coordinator for the Bobcats' live event productions.
He earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Nova Southeastern in December 2025.
