Cole Hales enters his first season as Pitching Coach of Catawba College Baseball in the spring of 2026.
Hales joins the Catawba staff after a successful three-year career with the Catawba Indians, helping the team to the 2024 and 2025 South Atlantic Conference regular season championships, the 2025 SAC Tournament title crown and the 2024 Southeast Regional title en route to a national semifinal appearance.
The Salisbury native was an American Baseball Coaches Association All-American in his senior season in 2025, hitting .405 with 17 doubles and seven homers, driving in a team-best 55 runs. Additionally, he was named a College Sports Communicators First Team Academic All-American.
On the mound, Hales recorded 84.1 innings for the Catawba Indians with 10 starts and five saves.
