Greenwood, Ind. —- Catawba College seniors Sofia Antolini and Ami Miya earned All-America honors from the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
Antolini and Miya both earned Second Team honors for the first Academic All-America honors of their career. Antolini, the two-time reigning South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year, holds a 3.90 GPA while pursuing a Masters in Sports Management. Miya registered a 3.92 GPA while pursuing a degree in Communication.
Antolini and Miya helped lead Catawba to SAC regular season and tournament titles, a berth to the NCAA DII National Championships and a national runner-up finish in Surprise, Ariz. two weeks ago.
Antolini and Miya join Olivia Myers in 2014 as the only Academic All-Americans in program history.
