Harrogate, Tenn. —- The Catawba College softball team fell in both ends of a doubleheader at Lincoln Memorial on Saturday in South Atlantic Conference action.
GAME ONE | Lincoln Memorial 8, Catawba 3
TEAM STATISTICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST INNING
- A walk, a hit-by-pitch and a single loaded the bases for LMU
- A bases-clearing double made it 3-0 LMU early
SECOND INNING
- An RBI single and a sacrifice fly made it a 5-0 Railsplitter lead
THIRD INNING
- Wilkins hit her first collegiate homer in the third to get Catawba on the board
FIFTH INNING
- Wilkins led off the sixth with a double and moved to third on a groundout
- Monroe's sac fly cut Catawba's deficit to 5-2
- Alyssa Maples' two-run homer brought LMU's lead back to five runs
SIXTH INNING
- Maddy Altiers walked and Jordan McCorkle singled to lead off the sixth
- Coffey's RBI groundout cut LMU's advantage to 7-3
- Maples answered again with a two-out RBI single to lead 8-3

- Reagann scored on a wild pitch before Maples' two-run homer made it a seven-run frame for LMU
FOURTH INNING
- A single, a hit-by-pitch and a walk each scored a run as the Railsplitters led 10-0
FIFTH INNING
- Catawba scored four in the top of the fifth to cut into LMU's lead
- Hannah McMeen's two-run homer for LMU brought the Railsplitters back over the mercy-rule limit to end game two
