SALISBURY, N.C. — The Catawba College men's volleyball team dropped the initial set but breezed through the next three victoriously in a four-set, 3-1 win over North Greenville on Friday night at Goodman Arena.
TEAM STATS
- The Catawba Indians (6-9) notched their second-best hitting percentage of the year at .277 – benefitting from a season-high 59 kills – while North Greenville (6-3) batted .185 with 44 strikes
- NGU had a better evening in service, leading 4-2 in aces with 12 errors committed against the hosts' 17
- The Trailblazers were solid in the blocking sphere with a 12-7 margin
- Catawba edged out NGU in digs by a narrow 41-40 difference
- Each side recorded a block error while the Trailblazers were tabbed with both of the match's setting miscues
INDIVIDUAL STATS
- Justin Arrowood pummeled 19 kills on a .214 rate of success with nine digs, three blocks and one service ace
- Anders Christianson delivered 13 darts while sharing the team lead in digs with Arrowood at nine
- Kekona Ulu tied his career high of nine kills with a solid .333 clip, also accounting for three digs and an ace
- Logan Neitzel posted a strong eight-kill performance in the middle, hitting .500 for the fourth time this season
- Fellow middle blocker Wyatt Eastin landed six kills on 10 swings with a squad-high four denials at the net
- Kristian Smith set the program's four-set assists record with 52 dimes while chipping in seven digs
- Max Adkisson hit the deck for eight digs and dished out three helpers

Previously scheduled during January's winter storm, Catawba travels to Barton on Tuesday, Mar. 10, for a 7 p.m. match with the Bulldogs.
