Stephens claims Catawba’s first NCAA national championship in indoor 200m dash

Virginia Beach, Va. — Catawba College senior Miles Stephens earned Catawba Athletics' first-ever national championships, an individual title in the Men's 200-Meter Dash at the NCAA Indoor Men's Track and Field National Championship on Saturday. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

60-Meter Dash

- Victor Smith placed sixth in the Men's 60m dash final with a mark of 6.69 seconds, earning First Team All-America honors

200-Meter Dash

- Stephens shattered a school record by over a quarter of a second in the 200m dash, earning Catawba's first-ever NCAA national title with a mark of 20.76 seconds
