Hartsville, S.C. — The Catawba College women's basketball team held a double-digit lead at halftime on the road over 17th-ranked on Wednesday, but the Cobras' fourth-quarter surge flipped the result in their favor in the end in South Atlantic Conference action.
TEAM STATISTICS
- Catawba shot 18-for-53 (34 percent) from the field while holding the Cobras to 20-of-60 (33 percent) from the floor
- Coker went 7-for-27 (26 percent) from three-point range; the Catawba Indians were 4-for-21 (19 percent) from long range

- Saniya Wilson scored a team-leading 13 points off the bench on 5-for-8 shooting with eight rebounds
- Mary Spry added 12 points with eight boards as well
- Sheree Gidney was the third Catawba Indian in double figures with 10 points off the bench
- Kaelyn Allen splashed home a pair of three-pointers, while Imani Williams dished out a team-best four assists

FIRST QUARTER
- Coker scored the game's first four points in the first three minutes as the teams settled in
- A 5-0 personal run from Gidney tied the game at 7
- The Cobras took another small lead before a 9-0 sprint from Catawba finished off the quarter with the visitors leading 16-11
SECOND QUARTER
- Catawba extended the run to 13-0 with the first four points of the second quarter, leading 20-11 at the 8:41 mark
- Spry's layup with less than three minutes to go in the half had Catawba leading by 15 points
- Catawba led by a 36-22 margin at the halftime break
THIRD QUARTER
- Coker whittled the lead down in the first five minutes, getting it down to an eight-point deficit at the 3:46 mark
- Wilson's triple capped a quick 5-0 spurt from Catawba to push the lead back to 13 points
- The Catawba Indians led 44-33 with 10 minutes to go
FOURTH QUARTER
- An 8-0 run from Coker capped by a Dasia Ferguson three-pointer cut Catawba's lead to 47-43 at the 4:36 mark
- Catawba responded with layups from Spry and Williams to restore an eight-point advantage
- Catawba turned the ball over on four consecutive possessions, seeing their 8-point lead shift to a 3-point deficit between shot attempts
- A three-pointer to tie with under a minute left was unsuccessful, leading to the Coker comeback win
