Salisbury, N.C. — The Catawba College softball team fell 20-3 at the hands of 8th-ranked North Georgia on Sunday at Whitley Field. Junior Grace Flynn recorded her South Atlantic Conference-leading sixth home run of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST INNING
- Marycille Brumby's three-run homer got the scoring started for UNG in the first inning
- Kaitlyn Johnson followed with a two-run double to give the Nighthawks a 5-0 lead
SECOND INNING
- A two-run singled bumped North Georgia's lead to 7-0
- Two RBI singles and an RBI sac fly had the Nighthawks leading 10-0 after two
THIRD INNING
- A solo homer pushed UNG's lead to 11-0 in the third
- A bases-loaded HBP followed by a two-run double had UNG leading 14-0
- A two-out, two-run single had North Georgia ahead 16-0
- Flynn's SAC-leading sixth homer on a two-run shot got Catawba on the board in the third
FOURTH INNING
- A pinch-hit homer scored UNG's 17th run of the afternoon
- Alexis Monroe's infield single moved a Catawba runner up to third in the bottom half
- Adda Prescott's RBI groundout scored Catawba's third run
FIFTH INNING
- UNG added to their lead with a two-run double
- Carleigh Knowles added an RBI double to score the Nighthawks' 20th run of the game
