Salisbury, N.C. — The 8th-ranked Catawba College women's soccer team played to a hard-fought 1-1 draw with reigning national semifinalist Columbus State at Frock Field on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
- Columbus State recorded the first six goals of the game; Dähne stepped up for her first save in the 19th minute
- Dähne then punched a shot by CSU's Sarah Hungerford in the 21st minute over the bar
- Ehmer poked the ball through the defense and finished with a powerful right foot to give the Catawba Indians' the early lead in the 28th minute
- Peterson and Robinson shots tested the CSU keeper in the final 15 minutes with the momentum in Catawba's favor
SECOND HALF
- A 63rd-minute foul set up a Columbus State free kick from Hungerford that found Mia Robinson, who finished the equalizer
- The next shot on goal in the game didn't come for another 18 minutes, when Dähne made a stop in the 81st minute
- CSU took the final three shots on goal, but Catawba made the stops to settle for the draw
