SALISBURY, N.C. – The Catawba College women's lacrosse team surrendered its final home game of the 2025 season to Limestone, 22-2, on Saturday afternoon at Shuford Stadium.
TEAM STATS
- Catawba (6-8, 3-6 SAC) was out-attempted 37-5 as Limestone (11-4, 8-1 SAC) also led in ground balls 20-5
- The blue and white commanded a firm 14-11 advantage on the draw
- The Saints went 15-for-18 on the clear while Catawba was 6-for-11, the divide stemming largely from the 21-9 difference in turnovers
- Limestone drew 10 fouls, setting up a 4-for-8 performance on free position shots, and failed to commit any infractions
- Ava Kunza snatched up six saves between the posts for Catawba; Limestone's Emma McCoy went 36:41 with two stops to earn the win
INDIVIDUAL STATS
- Joey Baillie and Ella McCusker provided the Catawba Indians' scoring, finding paydirt on their lone respective shots
- Both of the hosts' scores were assisted as Mary Sorvillo and Grace Virginia Deal were credited with helpers
- Skylar Mullin logged a team-high five draw controls with one takeaway
- Sorvillo scooped up three draws as Baillie and Emily Better also tallied multiple draw controls with two apiece
- Madison Shaffer provided an impressive defensive showing with three caused turnovers
- Kunza tacked on three ground balls while Mullin and Better accounted for the other two
