Chattanooga, Tenn. —- The 29th-ranked Catawba College men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday in the opening game of the Scenic City Invitational in Chattanooga.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
- Sebastian Zabala and Ryosuke Iganawa picked up a 6-3 win in #3 doubles
- Mateo Berne and Marcos Castares helped clinch the doubles point with a 6-4 win over the top-ranked duo from the Nighthawks
SINGLES
- Thomas Kostka earned a swift 6-2, 6-1 win in #3s singles
- Castares earned a win in the first set in the #5s match, but fell in the set two when the clinch point was reached
