Scouting the Railsplitters
- LMU has started its season 3-3 including a SAC opener loss to Lenoir-Rhyne, which mirrors Catawba's entry to conference play
- First-year head coach Tony Jasick only has one returner from the 2024-25 team in EJ Smith as the Splitters' major departures feature Wes Enis (South Florida) and Elyjah Freeman (Auburn)
- Five LMU players are averaging double-figure points, led by Smith's 12.7 per game as he is the only Railsplitter to have started all six contests
- Yassin Hussein (12.2 PPG, 6.2 RPG) and Emmanuel James (7.8 PPG, 1.8 BPG) have been key transfer additions to the frontcourt, while guard Jayden Pennamon also packs a punch with team highs in assists (20) and steals (11)
