COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Catawba College will be represented on a national scale as Head Men's Volleyball Coach Bill Ferguson provides instruction for the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program (NTDP) on Dec. 27-30 in Anaheim, Calif.
Ferguson accepted an offer to help coach the U15-U17 age groups at the Boys Indoor NTDP Winter Training Series, overseeing 63 athletes from across the country. The lead coach for the U15-U17 bunch is Ohio State assistant Steven Duhoux.
The program is uniquely hybrid with both hard and sand courts, framing a holistic training model that allows athletes to train for indoor, beach, and dual national team competition.
"It's an honor being invited to coach at any level for USA Volleyball," said Ferguson. "I've been fortunate to be a part of this process over the years and it never gets old. You have the opportunity to help grow this great game and have a hand in developing tomorrow's Olympians. I'm beyond fortunate to work alongside an amazing collection of coaching minds; we will all make each other better. I'm thrilled for the opportunity to be back in the USA gym."
