SALISBURY, N.C. – The Catawba College women's cross country team kicked off the 2022 season by winning the Fleet Feet Invitational on Saturday morning as the team was led by Madison Clay who earned a second place finish in the women's 5K.
The Lady Indians turned in four top-ten finishes and went 2, 3, 4 in the women's race. Clay paced the pack by crossing the finish line in 18:59.3 followed by Raina Andrews who ran a time of 19:16.8. Taking third place was Natalie Almond after she crossed the line behind Andrews two seconds later. Rounding out the top finishes for Catawba was Aislynn Reagle who placed 10th by running a time of 19:54.5.
Saturday marked the women's cross country team's first event win since the Catawba Invite back in 2018.
The Lady Indians will run again at the Converse Kickoff on September 17th.
