Rock Hill, S.C. — The Catawba College men's indoor track and field team was picked to finish fourth in the South Atlantic Conference indoor track and field preseason poll, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
The Catawba Indians received a first-place vote behind Wingate, Carson-Newman and Lenoir-Rhyne, who rounded out the top three in the poll.
Miles Stephens, Jayden Bennermon, Kengel Christopher and Victor Smith were named Athletes to Watch on the men's side.
Stephens is returning after winning the indoor SAC title in the 60-meter dash. He went on to finish eighth at the National Indoor Championships.
Catawba opens its track season this weekend, splitting up between the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener hosted at Boston University on Saturday and the JDL Earlybird Invitational on Sunday in Winston-Salem.
