Indianapolis, Ind. — The Catawba College women's soccer team earned the top seed in the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Southeast Regional and will host First and Second Round action at Frock Field on Friday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 23, the NCAA announced Monday night with the NCAA DII Women's Soccer selection show.
Catawba will face eighth-seed Belmont Abbey at 3 p.m. on Friday.
The First Round game between fourth-seed Francis Marion and fifth-seed Lander will take place at noon on Friday at Frock Field. The advancing teams from the two games will meet in the NCAA Second Round at Frock Field on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Catawba earned its seventh consecutive berth to the NCAA Tournament with their overtime win in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament final on Sunday, where Kylie Morin's 98th-minute golden goal sealed the title for the Catawba Indians.
Catawba claims the top seed in the Southeast Regional for the first time in program history.
Belmont Abbey earned an automatic win via their 2-1 win in the Conference Carolinas Tournament final on Sunday over Francis Marion. The Crusaders are making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2014.
