SNOW HILL, N.C. — The 10th-ranked Catawba College men's golf's fall season winds down this week with the Barton Fall Invitational hosted at Cutter Creek Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The Team
- Catawba is set to play its fourth tournament in four weeks, filling the month of October
- The Catawba Indians are coming off the Golfweek Fripp Island to Bermuda Invitational which featured their stiffest competition that they will see likely all season; the field contained six top-10 teams and 11 top-25 schools
- The blue and white stepped up to last week's challenge at the Ocean Point Golf Course, using a three-over-par 867 to claim a fifth-place finish to lead South Atlantic Conference foes Lincoln Memorial and Lenoir-Rhyne
- After debuting in the SCOREBOARD by Clippd rankings at No. 9, Catawba remains one of the nation's top Division II squads at No. 10 following last week's action

The Field
- Among the nine other teams at Cutter Creek are seven Conference Carolinas members including host Barton
- The only three non-CC programs in the field are Catawba and Newberry (SAC) as well as Ohio Dominican (Great Midwest Athletic Conference)
- Catawba is the highest-ranked team in attendance as Emmanuel (No. 71) leads a group of four more top-100 squads
- Located in North Carolina's Coastal Plain region, Cutter Creek was designed by Bob Moore and opened in 2008; the 220-acre, 7,270-yard course resides on what used to be tobacco fields
